Position Overview

We are seeking a welcoming, organized, and professional Host to join our team at Junie’s in the Motto by Hilton hotel. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing excellent guest service, managing reservations and seating efficiently, and handling transactions at our grab & go coffee counter when needed, with accuracy and care.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, manage waitlists and reservations, and ensure efficient seating to maximize guest satisfaction.
• Learn and maintain thorough knowledge of Junie’s food and beverage menu to answer guest questions and promote menu items.
• Handle any take-out/grab & go guest transactions using the point-of-sale system, including processing cash and credit card payments accurately.
• Maintain a clean and organized host stand and entry area, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
• Communicate effectively with servers, bartenders, and management to coordinate guest flow and resolve any issues promptly.
• Monitor and comply with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding food safety and service.
• Assist with answering phone calls, taking reservations, and providing information about the restaurant and hotel offerings.
• Support team members with light bussing, resetting tables, and stocking menus & supplies as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a host, cashier, or customer service role preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
• Basic math skills and attention to detail for handling transactions.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Capacity to work in a busy and sometimes noisy environment.
