Hilton BNA Nashville Airport Terminal is actively seeking experienced and results-driven individuals to fill the crucial role of Director of Sales. This senior leadership position is responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans to maximize revenue and achieve hotel profitability goals.

A successful Director of Sales at Hilton is a dynamic leader who will spearhead the hotel's sales efforts, build and mentor a high-performing sales team, and cultivate strong relationships with key clients and market influencers. They are tasked with driving business across all market segments, including group, transient, and catering, while ensuring the hotel's offerings are competitively positioned.

Key Responsibilities:

The Director of Sales is at the helm of the hotel's revenue generation and is expected to:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales and marketing plans: This includes creating annual business plans, setting ambitious yet achievable sales goals, and identifying new market opportunities to drive revenue growth.
  • Lead and mentor the sales team: The Director is responsible for recruiting, training, and managing a team of sales professionals, fostering a culture of success and accountability.
  • Drive revenue and market share: A primary focus is on achieving and exceeding budgeted revenue targets for all hotel segments. This involves actively soliciting new business, managing key accounts, and maximizing the profitability of group and event bookings.
  • Financial management and forecasting: The role requires strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and analyzing sales data to inform strategic decisions and ensure profitability.
  • Cultivate client relationships: Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting relationships with key corporate clients, meeting planners, and travel industry partners is essential.
  • Collaborate with other hotel departments: The Director of Sales works closely with the General Manager, Revenue Management, and other department heads to ensure a seamless and exceptional guest experience.
  • Stay abreast of market trends: A deep understanding of the local market, competitor activities, and industry trends is crucial for maintaining a competitive edge.
Qualifications and Skills:

Hilton seeks candidates with a proven track record of success in hotel sales leadership. Typical qualifications include:

  • A bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field is often preferred.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in hotel sales, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a sales team.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience with budgeting, forecasting, and revenue management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • A deep understanding of all hotel market segments.
