Cook / Breakfast Attendant

Job brief

• We are looking for a skilled AM Breakfast Cook / Attendant to prepare & help serve delicious food for our breakfast buffet. You will cook dishes that will delight our customers with their taste and timely delivery. 
• An excellent cook / attendant must be able to follow instructions in cooking and delivering well-prepared meals. They must be fluent in moving around the kitchen and apt in multi-tasking. Experience in using various ingredients and cooking techniques is also important.
• Must be willing to communicate with guests and have a positive attitude
• The goal is to help preserve and enhance our reputation so we can expand our clientele.
• Typical shifts will be 5:30am-10:30am weekdays and 5:30am-11am on weekends

Responsibilities

• Arrive on time and prepare the morning breakfast buffet for our guests
• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
• Prepare food for service (e.g. cooking eggs, slicing fruti, or baking pastries)
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
• Follow executive chef’s instructions
• Assist dining room with buffet and service
• Clean up station and take care of leftover food
• Stock inventory appropriately
• Wash dishes and return wares to their proper storage
• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers 

Requirements

• Proven cooking experience
• Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
• Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
• Familiar with industry’s best practices
