Job Summary:

The primary role of our outgoing, friendly, and helpful Breakfast Host is to greet guests and ensure an enjoyable stay with us while providing fast and courteous breakfast service.

Essential Job Functions:

• Greet guests, learn guest preferences, and solicit feedback to enhance the guest experience
• Work as an extension of the sales office to learn about potential business opportunities 
• Communicate across departments to resolve problems, exceed guest expectations and uncover new business for the hotel
• Perform breakfast set-up, takedown and cleaning
• Serve breakfast to guests and fulfill guest requests
• Cooking, cleaning, and restocking food during breakfast and meeting room times
• Communicate weekly food inventory and ordering needs, checking food orders for accuracy and proper storage
• Instinctively clean the lodge, lobby, and kitchen areas. 
• Proactively look for ways to support other departments during slow times
• Complete all required reports and follow food safety guidelines

Necessary Skills and Attributes:

• Excellent verbal skills
• Guest relation skills

Formal Education:

• Ability to speak, read, and write English
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• Food handlers' training preferred

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; stand; bend; walk; use hands or fingers; or feel objects, tools, or controls; lift boxes (up to 15 pounds); talk and hear.  Vision abilities required by this job include the close vision of a computer screen.
